Giving to Immanuel Church Bodmin

‘This service you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.’ (2 Corinthians 9:12)

We believe the Lord provides for the church’s needs principally through the giving of church members. All church members are encouraged to give generously as the Lord enables them. In addition, we are always grateful to receive financial gifts from visitors, friends and supporters to help us grow our gospel work and community activities. Through our trustees, we seek to manage our finances to the highest standards of integrity and stewardship.

We do not take a collection during our Sunday meeting, but if you would like to give to Immanuel Church Bodmin, you can do so in different ways:

On Sundays. You can make a gift by cash or cheque into the box at the back of the church hall. Please make your cheque payable to Immanuel Church Bodmin.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those visiting for the first time, so that you know beforehand what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday meeting starting at 10:45am. We recommend arriving a little  early to ensure you get a parking space! When you arrive, you'll be greeted by someone from our Welcome Team.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Sunday meetings are informal and include songs, prayers, Bible teaching and news about what's going on in the life of the church.  We normally finish at around 12.30 and then there's time to chat over tea, coffee and biscuits. There's also always an opportunity to request prayer and ask any questions.

What About My Children?

We welcome children of all ages - here's what we provide on a Sunday morning:

  • Creche (0 months to 3 years). Children under 6 months are very welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times. We have an area adjoining the main hall, with seating, toys and a sound link so that parents/carers can hear what is going on in the main meeting.
  •  Sunday Club (key stage 1&2, 3-11 years). This group meets in a separate room with space for all the fun activities that the children get involved in. Each parent/carer must register children for Sunday Club at the start and pick them up at the end.
  •  Young people (key stage 3 and above, 11+ years). Young people stay in the main meeting.

Children stay with their parent or carer at the start of the service for the welcome, songs, prayers and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. Someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their groups. You will need to go with your children to their groups and register them as part of our child safety policy.

Sunday Club activities usually include, bible stories, music, prayer, craft, drama and fun games. Please pick your children up as soon as the main meeting finishes.
